Bach Violin Concerto in E major
This Concerto is overall more optimistic and joyful. The first movement makes me smile. The solo sections sound so passionate. And Bach is a master in modulating to a minor key, suddenly producing a melancholic passage to later return to the major key, resulting in a much more joyful resolution.

The second movement, the adagio, has a strikingly beautiful melody reminiscent of the Aria Erbarme Dich from the St. Matthew Passion. If these two pieces are related or share the same inspiration (as I conjecture), it is about asking forgiveness to the Lord.

If my thought is right, then the third movement, the allegro assai, represents the happiness of knowing that God forgive all sins. This maybe is all wishful thinking without foundation in reality, but it’s just what came to me while listening to this.
