Final Fantasy VI Sheet Music
This is my favorite video game. I've spent innumerable hours playing it again and again. One of the reasons I love it so much is its music. I think in this game recognized composer Nobuo Uematsu has its masterpiece.
Every piece fits perfectly the part of the game for which it was composed. It is programmatic music, that adds to the emotion of the game, but also it speaks by itself.
I love to listen to this music by itself without playing, but it's much more special if you have played the game. It's like hearing the music of a movie or an opera, if you haven't seen the images that are linked to the music, it's different. So, throw away the prejudices and get this game!
It may sound strange to like "video game music". When someone speaks of it, most people think of tetris with weird noises that bugs you to lose quickly. But these are great compositions, and must be respected as we respect, say, music for plays, movies and operas.
These are arrangements for piano and guitar that I made from scores in Japanese books. They are in PDF format. I also included a midi file to facilitate learning. The scores for guitar include tablature.
Tina (or Terra)
This piece has a melody that you will have in your head all day after you hear it. It is one of the most outstanding pieces.
Both the guitar and piano versions are relatively easy. The most difficult should be the triplets in the bass part, but you'll get the rhythm after a while.
Piano - Guitar - Midi
Kids Run Through the City Corner
After an agitated introduction this piece has a beautiful and peaceful melody. It was played on the game while you were around the cities.
Piano - Guitar - Midi
The Decisive Battle
The piece played during fights with regular bosses. It is one of the most easily remembered.
Piano - Guitar - Midi
Dancing Mad
The piece played during the final battle with Kefka. This is only the section played while fighting Kefka not the monsters that you face before him.
Piano - Midi
